This has got be the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I find it refreshing!  At least we have one honest race, right?

Looks like he is running on the "I'm already a criminal" platform. Finally some of that transparency the Dem's have been promising.

If he didn't have that criminal offense, he is very relatable.  Most politicans seem to come from posh backgrounds.  Note that I say most.  Yes, I can think of some that have not come from posh backgrounds, but the number is probably a small percentage. It also takes money to run a campaign, which is why they're trying to figure out how he did it. Not everyone has a million to possibly throw away.  The guy he ran against spent several million dollars.

His name being Alvin Green probably does have a correlation to him getting elected.  If you have a rememberable name or a name that is similar to someone else that is already famous that would help a lot.  John Kerry, when he would run for the senate for first several election would use his initials JFK and would say that would be the type of candidate he would be.

My point is, that the common person usually can't run.  Also, please don't take that I am endorsing what Kerry did or that I am endorsing him.  I was just using him as an example.  He'll give you three completely opposite answers to one question.

I can't believe Alvin lost! He is so articulate and sharp as a tack.
