Taskbar Flashing Button Image

How does it work

Can anyone tell me anything about this option?

How does it work?
I'm running Windows XP.

It's the image that flashes when a non-active window is trying to get your attention.
An example would perhaps be an open MSN window in the background. If you received a message, the taskbar button will flash to alert you to it. Windows alternates the images between the normal state and the flashing one.
